Overview

Rainslice (“Rainslice”, “we”, “us”) is the AI that runs home services businesses around the clock, answering calls and texts, following up on leads, scheduling and dispatching jobs, building quotes, and handling customer service. Doing that work means handling data about you and about your customers, and this policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version: your data is used only to run your operation. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train models for anyone else.

Information we collect

Account and business information. Your name, email, phone number, business name, service area, pricing, crew and schedule details, and billing information.

Communications data. Because Rainslice runs your front office, we process the calls and text messages between your business and your customers, including call recordings, transcripts, message contents, phone numbers, and the details customers share, such as names, addresses, and the issue they need fixed.

Operational data. Jobs, bookings, dispatch assignments, quotes, follow-ups, and customer service history created as the Service runs your business.

Usage data. How you interact with our website and dashboard, device and browser information, and analytics events, collected in part through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Run your business through the Service, 24/7: answering and placing calls and texts, booking and dispatching jobs, building quotes, following up with leads, and handling customer service.
  • Show you everything the Service did in your dashboard.
  • Process payments and manage your subscription.
  • Provide support and respond to your requests.
  • Monitor, secure, and improve the Service, including fixing errors.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

AI processing

Rainslice uses AI models to understand and respond to calls and messages, schedule work, and make operational decisions within the rules you set. Call recordings, transcripts, and messages are processed by our AI infrastructure providers solely to deliver the Service to you.

Your data is never used to train models for other businesses or third parties.

How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit what they can do with it:

  • Telephony and messaging carriers that connect your calls and texts.
  • AI model providers that power conversations and decisions.
  • Cloud hosting and database providers that store your data.
  • Payment processors that handle billing.
  • Authentication, analytics, and error monitoring providers.
  • Tools you choose to connect, such as your CRM or field service software.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.

Your customers' data

When Rainslice talks to your customers, it processes their information on your behalf and under your instructions. You are responsible for having the required consent to call, text, and record your customers. If one of your customers contacts us about their data, we will refer them to you and assist you in responding.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active so the Service can run your business with full context, including customer history and past jobs. When you close your account, you can request an export of your data, and we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, billing, or security purposes.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring, and we limit access to the people and systems that need it to run the Service. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage you to use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or limit certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at hello@rainslice.ai, and you can update most account information directly in your dashboard.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Some features of the Service may not work properly without them.

Children

The Service is built for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will give you reasonable notice, such as by email or an in-product notice, before they take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
